It is with regret that the Lea and Ouse Valleys Safety Association is closing down.
The decision was taken at an Extraordinary General Meeting held on 9th February 2017.
Although there was a feeling that an organisation such as this was still needed, there was insufficient support for the replacement of the executive posts on the management committee, consequently the Association would close.
In the meantime the website will be maintained for a period of time for members to take advantage of the resources in the members area of the website.
We are the Lea and Ouse Valleys Safety Association, or LOVSA for short.
LOVSA is an award-winning independent voluntary organisation dedicated to helping people identify and manage risk at work in all aspects of occupational health and safety. We help prevent accidents and keep people safe at work.
We provide a friendly local forum for our members, offering expertise, advice, mutual support and education on safety at work topics including health, fire, security and the environment.
We meet once a month and new members are always welcome.
We are affiliated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) as the local health and safety group for Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and we are an active member of Safety Groups UK.
